沸石具有吸附性、離子交換性、催化和耐酸耐熱等性能，因此被用作吸附劑、離子交換劑和催化劑，也可用于氣體的干燥、凈化和污水處理等方面。

蜂窩沸石的主要材料是天然沸石，是由SiO2、Al2O3和堿性金屬或堿土金屬組成的無機(jī)微孔材料，其內(nèi)孔體積占總體積的40-50%，比表面積300-1000 m2/g，具有耐高溫、不可燃、良好的熱穩(wěn)定性和水熱穩(wěn)定性等特點(diǎn)。

主要由廢氣預(yù)處理系統(tǒng)、分子篩轉(zhuǎn)輪濃縮吸附系統(tǒng)、脫附系統(tǒng)、冷卻干燥系統(tǒng)和自動(dòng)控制系統(tǒng)等組成。

適用于常溫、大風(fēng)量、中低濃度，易揮發(fā)的有機(jī)廢氣，主要包括一些有機(jī)溶劑如苯類、酮類、醛類、醚類、烷烴及其混合類等。
